Faber-Castell Fun Stuff Competition Rules

Please read these rules carefully before participating in either of the competitions. Any questions can be submitted using the Enquiries and Feedback form.

Draw your own Shortlist Book Cover Competition

  • Entries are limited to Junior Judges registrants
  • Entries must be the original work of the student submitting the entry
  • One entry per person only
  • Commences April 1 2008
  • Entries close July 30 2008
  • All drawings are to be done using coloured pencils
  • Entries should be mailed to the local CBCA branches
  • The winner and 2 honour drawings in each category will be selected by Shaun Tan
  • Winners and Runners-Up will receive a prize from Faber-Castell. Winner and Honour drawings will get a certificate
  • The winner's school will also receive a prize
  • The winners will be announced on this site on August 18 2008
  • Entries remain the property of the Children's Book Council of Australia
  • Winning entries may be used for promotional purposes
  • Winning pictures will be published on the Junior Judges web site
  • The CBCA reserves the right to reject entries at its absolute discretion
  • Faber-Castell will post prizes to winner's school
  • These rules are subject to change without notice

Name the Critter Competition

  • Entries are limited to Junior Judges' Project registrants
  • Voting commences July 4 2008
  • Voting closes August 7 2008 at 8pm AEST
  • Winners announced on this site on August 18 2008
  • Name suggestions entries commences May 2 2008
  • Name suggestions closes June 30 2008 at 8pm AEST
  • Prizes will be provided by Faber-Castell
  • Class Groups can record one Critter name suggestion only
  • Three names will be shortlisted from all the suggestions
  • Class Groups can vote for one of five shortlisted Critter names
  • Winners will be selected at random from the Class Groups that voted for the name that received the greatest number of votes
  • The winner's school will also receive a prize
  • The most popular Critter name will be published on the Junior Judges web site
  • Faber-Castell will post prize to winners
  • The CBCA reserves the right to reject entries at its absolute discretion
  • These rules are subject to change without notice
